Sanctity of Human Life Sunday: Resources for Every Person to Celebrate Life

Martinsburg, WV – This Sunday is the “Sanctity of Human Life Sunday” across the nation. It marks the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the day America began legalizing killing our unborn. Since that day more than 50,000,000 unborn children have been murdered “legally” on American soil.
The “Sanctity of Human Life Sunday” is a day to remember those that have been killed and to resolve ourselves to fight harder in the coming year to see the end of abortion. It’s a day to spend time praying for an end to abortion, praying for the unborn that could possibly be robbed of a chance at life, and praying for lawmakers that have the ability to protect the unborn to take the steps needed so every child is protected.
Here at the Family Policy Council of West Virginia our goal is not just to keep you informed about these special days, or even simply to ask you to take part, our goal is to be a partner with you that will equip you to stand and be a voice in your community and your church. With that in mind we have several resources we want to offer to you free of charge in order to serve you as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday approaches.

From Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council: ”Restoring the Cradle of Liberty” and ”Fighting Abortion: The Measure of a Just Society.” These two articles written by Tony Perkins are poignant and strike to the heart of the issue of life. They are well worth reading and certainly worth passing on to others.
Another excellent resource can be found on Sermon Central’s Sanctity of Human Life web page. This resource is full of sermons, articles, images, backgrounds, and other resources that will aid you in your celebration of life.
All of these resources are free of charge and our way of serving you, your church, small group, or family, as you celebrate life and resolve to stand strong once again in 2012 for the unborn. It is our way of partnering with you and helping to equip you as a family in West Virginia.
We hope you will utilize these resources this Sunday as you celebrate life. We also hope you will pass them along to others that could use them.
We don’t apologize for our position on the issue of life. We believe that God is the Creator of life and that every life is inherently worthy of the right to life. The Family Policy Council of West Virginia will continue to oppose abortion, defend life, and equip every West Virginian to do the same.
