Rapist May Get Parental Rights of Child He Fathered!?

Do the limits of sanity know no bounds? Do we really live in a world so backward that a rapist may actually be awarded parental rights of the child he fathered through his crime? That seems to be the looming possibility for one young girl that ended up pregnant and giving birth to a daughter after she was raped by someone she knew. When the man was convicted, rather than receiving jail time he received probation and was told to pay child support. The consequence of the judge’s ruling is that he is now eligible for parental rights. I can’t help but wonder if this is some sort of tactic by pro-abortionists to further promote abortion in the case of rape. Many people that once believed abortion in the case of rape was the right thing now understand that the child is still a child and deserves to be protected. Pro-abortion groups don’t like that, they will use any means to advance their liberal agenda of death. A recent article on this story says: “…liberals are tough on rape only when there are abortions to facilitate or Republicans to embarrass – when it comes to executing rapists, mandatory sentencing of rapists, felons voting,taxpayer-subsidized Viagra for sex offenders, child rape cover-ups at abortion clinics, unions that defend child-abusing members, or scores of liberal politicians and personalities abusing and demeaning women, they’re either AWOL or taking the soft side of the debate, ceding the true tough-on-rape ground to conservatives.” It’s my most earnest prayer that common sense will prevail and this man will not be granted parental rights at all.
