On November 6th – Remember Obama’s Radical Abortion Position

Obama Cecile Richards

President Obama with Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards

More so than marriage, life has been center stage in this year’s election, and will no doubt be a major factor for many as they cast their vote. But before you step into that ballot box and select the person you want as the next president of the United States, consider the following information regarding Planned Parenthood and abortion.

First, understand that there is a stark difference between the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history, Barrack Obama and Mitt Romney. It’s true; I don’t know what kind of president Romney will be on the issue of life. But I know for certain that Obama will continue to be the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history. I also know that Romney has made a number of promises, including reinstating the Mexico City policy, defunding Planned Parenthood, and repealing ObamaCare. These promises give me hope that he will be a strong proponent of life.

And, knowing that Obama is a loyal partner of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, I can say with relative certainty that Obama will do nothing to support life and will continue to push a radical abortion agenda on the American people (and around the world). With this in mind, here is some information you should know about Obama, Planned Parenthood, and abortion.

Komen Apologizes for “Mistake” of Defunding Planned Parenthood

by Nathan A. Cherry, 04/16/2012

Komen Planned Parenthood logoIn the space of just a few shorts weeks the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation went on a roller coaster ride in the court of public opinion. And while many people think the ride is over, it might be that it’s just beginning. And where this crazy ride stops is, at this point, anyone’s guess.

You might remember all the drama that started earlier this year when Komen announced they were no longer funding Planned Parenthood through its grant program. This was a long-awaited announcement for pro-lifers that had a hard time understanding how a breast cancer awareness group could support an organization that performs procedures (abortion) which have been linked to breast cancer. It seems counter-productive at best. Click here for article links covering the Komen fiasco.

With all that’s happened it comes as no surprise that Komen had laid low and done everything possible to avoid media attention; even going so far as to skip their annual lobbying day at Congress. And while pundits speculate on whether this move signals that Komen is still reeling from the beating they took at the hands of the media and Planned Parenthood, Komen quietly let Congress know that they still seek funding. But first, Komen president Nancy Brinker was sure to apologize for their recent “mistakes,” as Lifenews.com reports:

“In the past few months, we made mistakes that ultimately raised questions in the community about our commitment to the mission of saving lives,” Brinker wrote. “We take full responsibility for these missteps and we extend our deepest apologies. Our commitment to ending breast cancer for all women remains unwavering and sincere.”

Girl Scouts Feel the Bite of Low Cookie Sales – Thank Planned Parenthood

by Nathan A. Cherry, 03/05/2012

Girl Scout cookiesMartinsburg, WV – All the excitement over the Susan G. Komen defunding-then-refunding Planned Parenthood fiasco has died down. This is, in no small part, thanks to the fact that Komen did in fact reinstate its funding of Planned Parenthood and pro-life Senior VP Karen Handle is no longer with the organization. I think this is also due to the collective disgust felt by millions of pro-life advocates that prematurely gave Komen a slap on the back and promise of support.

Is it possible the whole thing was nothing more than an ingenious PR campaign on the part of both organizations designed to boost donations? Because the fiasco accomplished that goal. No, no, no wild conspiracy theories here.

What is not dying down is the anger over the partnership between Planned Parenthood and the Girl Scouts. This is a scenario straight from Cecile Richards’ nightmares as both organizations are being blasted from all sides for a partnership they say doesn’t exist; while more and more evidence of the partnership surfaces.

Cathy Cleaver Ruse has a very informative article in the Washington Times showing the deep and secure partnership between the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood. At this point, trying to deny the partnership exists is somewhat like trying to deny the earth revolves around the sun; or that the sun exists. No one’s buying it. Ruse says:

“If Girl Scout defenders call this old news, show them the current Planned Parenthood sex-ed program, ‘Real Life. Real Talk,’ where the Girl Scouts of NYPENN are listed as a valuable partner. (A screenshot of the page is saved at FRCBlog.com.)…A cottage industry of Girl Scouts watchdog groups has flourished online with names like Girl Scouts Why Not, 100 Questions For the Girl Scouts, Honest Girl Scouts, Speak NowGirl Scouts…Visit these sites to see Girl Scouts tax returns showing its annual million-dollar-plus contribution to the radical World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, an aggressively pro-abortion organization that openly partners with International Planned Parenthood Federation. (Incidentally, every little girl who signs up for the Girl Scouts is automatically made a member of this umbrella group.) See the biographies of speakers at the Girl Scouts’ 2011 national convention and discover their positions withPlanned Parenthood and their promotion of Planned Parenthood. Read experts from Girl Scouts literature encouraging girls to visit Planned Parenthood programs and websites.”

Shock: VP Joe Biden Said Something I Agree With!

by Nathan A. Cherry, 03/02/2012

Obama and PP President Cecile RichardsMartinsburg, WV – I can hardly believe the words as they came out of my mouth. I was sitting at my desk, reading an article and suddenly I said “I agree with Biden.” After three years in office I can honestly say it is the first time I have ever uttered those words (and most probably the last time). Nonetheless I said them, and I am sticking to what I said.

Here’s why I agree with Biden. It comes back to the Obama insurance mandate that has the whole country fighting mad over trampling our religious liberty while forcing us all to fund contraception, sterilization, and abortifacient drugs. What many people don’t know about this story is the people on the committee that formed the mandate and then pushed the president to make it law. That is where things get interesting, as Lifenews.com reported:

“Jake Tapper of ABC News wrote a remarkable story last week revealing the players in the Obama administration’s internal debate on the contraception mandate…According to Tapper, President Obama’s top advisers on the issue included Vice President Joe Biden, former White House Chief-of-Staff Bill Daley, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, former Domestic Policy Council Director Melody Barnes, White House Senior Advisers Valerie Jarrett and Pete Rouse, former White House Communications Director Anita Dunn, two U.S. Senators – and Planned Parenthood Federation for America CEO Cecile Richards.”

What is most interesting about this group of people (other than Leon Panetta being on it – I’m not sure what contraception and defense have in common) is that only one person stood to gain financially from this decision – Cecile Richards and Planned Parenthood. And who do you think was most vocal about the mandate? Yep, Cecile Richards and Planned Parenthood.

These Numbers from Planned Parenthood Will SHOCK You!

by Nathan A. Cherry, 01/16/2012

Martinsburg, WV – It’s hard to believe, but some people are still under the impression that Planned Parenthood exists to “help” women. These advocates say the organization is about offering medical assistance, prenatal care, adoption referrals, and abortions when necessary. Sorry, but anyone that views Planned Parenthood with such rose-colored glasses needs an eye exam. Planned Parenthood is America’s largest facilitator of abortion, their business is abortion, their purpose is abortion; and the numbers from their own annual report prove that claim.

PP NumbersTake a look at this chart which shows the breakdown of services for Planned Parenthood in 2010. Anyone with good vision will clearly see that Planned Parenthood exists mainly to offer and aid in abortions. You don’t get such lopsided numbers as these by accident, it takes careful, calculated efforts to actually help so few women while aiding in the death of so many unborn children. All the while Planned Parenthood keeps lying to the public by saying that abortions comprise only 3% of their services. Lifenews.com breaks down the numbers clearly:

Here’s how the numbers actually crunch down. According to Planned Parenthood’s 2010 Affiliate Medical Services Summary (the most recent on record), they claim that 33.5% of their services are contraceptives. But 39.7% of those contraceptives are actually ‘Emergency Contraception Kits’. We are fully aware, thanks to public debate, that the entire purpose of Emergency Contraceptives…like the Morning After Pill…is to kill any unborn child that may be present. It’s just abortion by another name…With that understanding, 13.3% of Planned Parenthood’s entire services are dedicated to Emergency Contraceptives…So, add this 13.3% to the 3% Planned Parenthood claims, and you have over 16% of their services going to abortion.”

PP NumbersBut let’s take a look at the next chart which shows the breakdown of Planned Parenthood services by percentage. Here we can clearly see that based on the numbers: 329,445 abortions, 841 adoption referrals, and 31,098 women given prenatal care, abortion makes up 91.2% of Planned Parenthood’s services (but they are still saying 3%). The pro-life group Live Action (the group that prepared the chart) commented on the numbers:

“This new data confirms Planned Parenthood’s position as the largest U.S. abortion provider and shows that more than ten terminations are performed for every instance of prenatal care provided. Furthermore, Planned Parenthood aborted 391 children for every adoption referral made in 2010. This data covers all Planned Parenthood affiliates within the United States.”

You Want the Facts on Planned Parenthood? Here’s the Facts

by Nathan A. Cherry, 11/08/2011

Martinsburg, WV – What is the overriding mission of Planned Parenthood? If you listen to PP president Cecile Richards you would think that it was to “help women” and provide

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards

“quality medical care.” Richards talks so often about all the wonderful “medical services” PP provides – such as mammograms, prenatal care, and cancer screenings, etc. If you didn’t know better you would think that all these wonderful things are the primary mission of PP and the main services provided.

I hope you know better by now.

Lest there be any doubt whatsoever that PP’s mission is to perform as many abortions as possible, check out this article showing the statistics on PP services.

“According to Tait Sye, national spokeswoman of Planned Parenthood, 63 of the more than 800 Planned Parenthood facilities in America provide the option of prenatal care to pregnant clients—that’s 7.8% of the clinics.  On the other hand, 321 of the clinics—about 40%— provide abortion services, and every one refers for abortion…”

To further show exactly why PP exists, look at the breakdown of client services:

“332,278 of Planned Parenthood’s clients obtain abortions, while 7,021 of them received prenatal care, and 977 did adoption referrals through Planned Parenthood.”

Planned Parenthood to be Held Accountable…by Government!

by Nathan A. Cherry, 10/17/2011

Martinsburg, WV – It looks like Planned Parenthood (PP) is going to have to answer some questions, and I couldn’t be happier about it. There is no doubt in my mind that PP is a corrupt criminal organization that needs to have every dime of tax payers’ money removed permanently. Study after study shows that this group is not interested in “women’s health care” and seeks to be an abortion provider first. Poll after poll shows that Americans are tired of funding this corrupt merchant of death.

Cecile Richards

She has a lot of explaining to do.

And now Rep. Cliff Stearns (Florida) has written Cecile Richards, president of PP to let her know that the House Committee of Oversight and Investigation will be conducting an investigation into the “institutional practices and policies” of PP and their handling of federal funds. And I say “It’s about time.”

Stearns wrote the following in a letter to Richards:

“Pursuant to Rules X and XI of the United States House of Representatives, the Committee on Energy and Commerce is examining the institutional practices and policies of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and its affiliates, and its handing of federal funding. That Committee has questions about the politics in place and actions undertaken by PPFA and its affiliates relating to its use of federal funding and its compliance with federal restrictions on the funding of abortion…Please provide all internal audit reports conducted by PPFA and its affiliates from 1998 to 2010. If not clearly indicated in the audit reports, please detail how much PPFA and each affiliate expended and received in Title XIX Medicaid funding, Title X family planning, and any other federal funding.”

Can Unborn Children Feel Pain? One Lawsuit Doesn’t Care

by Nathan A. Cherry, 08/09/2011

Martinsburg, WV – Pro-abortion advocates and organizations are getting very nervous at the wave of “life support” taking place in America. Never, since Roe v Wade have more Americans strongly supported life and desired greater restrictions on abortion than now. Evidence for this can be seen in the news on a regular basis.

There were things like Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards saying that their organization didn’t need tax money to survive, then her desperate please on national news shows begging for tax funding to be secured at the federal level and restored at the state level. She even asked the federal government to intervene in states where funding was removed. Classy Ms. Richards, real classy.

Then you’ve got the indisputable fact that abortion clinics are closing at blazing speeds. In some states Planned Parenthood has been forced to close all but perhaps one “clinic” due to funding cuts. The best part about it is that funding cuts have just begun, more are on the way.

Then you have the record setting number of life laws passed in state legislatures in 2011; a number that more than doubles the previous record. Everything from informed consent laws to pain capable unborn child protection acts have been passed in nearly every state in the country. And all this makes abortion advocates nervous.

Speaking of the new tool to fight abortion called the “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act,” it would seem pro-lifers are prepared for the first challenge of this law.

LIARS! Planned Parenthood Doesn’t Even Do That!

by Nathan A. Cherry, 03/31/2011

Martinsburg, WV – Come on! Seriously? How much more of Planned Parenthood’s lies and rhetoric do we have to put up with before they finally start coming clean? This is just ridiculous. Planned Parenthood is coming under attack – once again – for lying about the fact that they offer mammograms when in fact they don’t offer the service.

Family Policy Council of West Virginia president Jeremy Dys commented on this revealing new video yesterday in his latest edition of The Engaging Essentials. But after watching the

Cecile Richards has been lying to the American public about Planned Parenthood services.

video and reading several articles I could not help but comment myself.

I find it deplorable that Planned Parenthood has been receiving millions of dollars in federal tax money each year for so-called “family planning” services; and now it’s revealed that they don’t even offer those services! Is there no accountability for who receives money from our federal government? Should I just call and ask for a few million dollars for “unspecified recreational and therapeutic visits to specifically unspecified locations around the world”? Do you think I could get some cash?

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards should be ashamed of herself for knowingly lying to the American taxpayers that have been funding her organization. I would ask for an apology but I know that would be too much for her. She has proven time and again that she is willing to say anything to get the money she wants to continue her abortion business.

Lila Rose and Live Action films are once again responsible for exposing the criminal business practices of Planned Parenthood in their latest video. The video records phone calls to 30 Planned Parenthood clinics in 27 different states asking for mammogram services. Can you guess what the answer is to every inquiry? That’s right; they don’t offer those services “whatsoever.”

Planned Parenthood Caught in Another Lie

by Nathan A. Cherry, 03/31/2011

Martinsburg, WV – As if all the negative press Planned Parenthood has been receiving isn’t enough, they are trying to lie about their own abortion statistics. Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards has been caught misquoting, deceiving, lying – whatever word you choose – about her organization’s abortion numbers in a recent interview with a Texas publication.

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards

During the interview, when she didn’t really make any reference or comment about the abortion services provided by PP and the fact that they are the largest provider of abortions in the country, she was asked directly about those services. Remember, PP is on the offensive to try and keep from losing nearly $350 million in taxpayer funding that was recently revoked by the House of Representatives.

When Richards was asked about the abortion services she said “We see 3 million patients each year across the country. For 97 percent of them, we provide preventive care. Three percent are abortions. That pretty much holds true from state to state.”

The only problem with her statement is that, according to the PP fact sheet produced by her organization, she’s wrong! And not just wrong in an “oops, I was off by a percent or two,” or “I confused a decimal place.” No, she was wrong by at least 8%!

A rep for Live Action, the group that has made its mission to expose and defund Planned Parenthood, commented on Richards’ error:

“According to Planned Parenthood’s own Fact Sheet, current as of February 2011, Richards’ claim is untrue. Planned Parenthood provided 332,278 abortions in 2009, or in other words, 11% of Planned Parenthood’s three million patients got abortions.”

Of course Richards is making the case that to eliminate the nation’s largest ‘family planning’ provider would be disastrous. However, no one is suggesting that PP close their doors – okay, I am suggesting it, actually hoping for it – instead they are saying that PP continue to offer ‘family planning’ services without tax payer money. Let’s face it, many non-profit groups such as Care Pregnancy Centers offer service without receiving a single dime of Title X or other federal funds. If they can do it, surely PP can do it. Right?

The reality is that Richards and others at PP know that without offering abortions, or receiving federal money they will see such a drop in business and revenue that they will indeed be forced to close many centers. They know, and don’t want anyone else to know, that the majority of their profits come through performing abortions.

The truth is getting out and Cecile Richards and others at Planned Parenthood are scared. They know the tide is turning toward life and that life laws are being strengthened. They are desperate to cling to their blood stained clinics and continue to mislead, deceive, and put women and children in jeopardy with their misinformation and lies.

But life is winning. There’s a happy ending. (Click here to read the original article)
