Obama Will Veto 20 Week Abortion Ban

For all the talking our president does about protecting children, he doesn’t put much action behind it (unless of course he is trying to take away guns). Even after the horrors of the Gosnell case president Obama is still not interested in guarding against a repeat incident by banning abortions after 20 weeks. On top of it all, he doesn’t seem to care that unborn children feel the pain of their own death by dismemberment and want to protect them from such cruelty. The administration released the following statement:

“The Administration strongly opposes H.R. 1797, which would unacceptably restrict women’s health and reproductive rights and is an assault on a woman’s right to choose. Women should be able to make their own choices about their bodies and their health care, and Government should not inject itself into decisions best made between a woman and her doctor.” Just your typical liberal rhetoric void of realty or truth. U.S. House of Representatives Set to Vote on Bill Banning Abortion After 20 Weeks

In a political climate that mostly centers on economic and foreign policy issues, a small victory for social conservatives is on the horizon. A bill banning most abortions after 20 weeks is expected to receive a vote in the House of Representatives this week. Supporters of the bill believe that after the Gosnell incident legislation like this is appropriate and needed to protect women and unborn children. Opponents aren’t so concerned with either.

The bill is called the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act because it is widely accepted that unborn children at 20 weeks are capable of feeling pain. That means abortion procedures performed on children of this age amount to torture before death. Such actions are inhumane at best. Let your representatives know you support this bill and want them to vote for it. Click here for original article.

Romeike Family Still Has Hope for Appeal

As you know, the Obama administration has refused to grant asylum to a German family seeking refuge in America in order to home school their children. Germany does not allow home schooling, and because of the social and political indoctrination in the public schools, the Romeike’s came to America seeking asylum. The Obama DOJ has refused and all appeals have failed. But the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered the DOJ to respond to a rehearing requests by the Romeike family; a sign that brings hope and optimism. Of the case, a recent article comments:

“Michael Farris, founder and chairman of HSLDA, who is leading the effort on behalf of the Romeikes, hopes the full court will take up the case. ’The opinion of the three-judge panel ignored important evidence, muddled the law, and, most importantly, missed the opportunity to defend a quintessential American value – the freedom for parents to educate their children. Germany prohibits this behavior, and America should be a refuge for those who seek this freedom.’” Click here for original article.

20 Week Abortion Ban Passes House Committee

Some good news out of Washington occurred when a House committee passed a bill to ban all abortions after 20 weeks. A recent article states: ”With Republicans supporting it and Democrats opposed, a House committee has passed a bill that would ban abortions nationwide at 20 weeks of pregnancy. Much of the debate focused on weakening amendments by Democrats who hoped to gut the bill and allow late-term abortions in cases to protect a woman’s health — even though abortions after 20 weeks are not necessary for health reasons and would allow virtually all late-term abortions to remain legal. The committee passed the bill on a 20-12 vote and the measure now heads to the full House floor where it is expected to receive a debate and vote next week.”

The focus here is the fact that unborn children at 20 weeks can feel pain. Subjecting them to abortion after that time would inflict incredible pain and be nothing less than torture. If we are against “cruelty to animals” then logic and common sense dictate that we also be against cruelty to unborn children. This is an appropriate bill that we hope gains steam and becomes law. Florida Case Could Make Adult Sex with 14 Year Olds Legal

Kaitlyn HuntThe story of 18 year old Kaitlyn Hunt being arrested for engaging in a sexual relationship with a 14 year old at her school is making waves nationwide. But it doesn’t seem to be Kaitlyn’s age that is the cause of so much controversy. After all, in Florida, where this incident is unfolding, many have been arrested and convicted under the statutory rape laws of the state. It seems to be the fact that Kaitlyn is gay and the “other person” is a young girl that is causing heartburn for so many.

If this was an 18 year old boy and a young girl there would be no outrage and no controversy. This is especially true since many others have been arrested and convicted under Florida law that puts the age of consent at 16 years. But since Kaitlyn and her “girlfriend” are homosexual an entire campaign has been built to get the authorities to “stop the hate” and drop the charges.

My first concern is that this shows the obvious double standard among the homosexual community over statutory rape laws. How many states have these laws? How many people have been prosecuted under these same laws? The attempt to make this about sexual orientation is smoke and mirrors intended to distract from the real focal point of the creeping movement to normalize pedophilia in our country.

The effort to paint this as some sort of homophobic smear campaign against Kaitlyn simply for being gay has been blasted by authorities and others involved in the case. The state attorney for Florida’s 19th circuit said: [Read more...]

Vote on “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” to Happen This Week

LifeNews.com: “The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, chaired by bill author Rep. Trent Franks, an Arizona Republican, will hold a markup on H.R. 1797 on Tuesday. After lawmakers debate the bill, a vote is expected. Franks has announced he will amend his bill, the “D.C. Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” (H.R. 1797) to apply nationwide.  With this change, the “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” will be a national prohibition on abortions of unborn children who can feel pain during the abortion process.”

I can see absolutely no reason to oppose such a common sense measure. We are talking about unborn children that, at this moment, are subject to torture they can feel before they are killed. We currently treat animals better and have better protections for animals than we do unborn children and that must change. No child should be tortured in this way and this bill takes the common sense and moral step of ensuring such practices end. Let your elected officials know you support Rep. Franks’ bill by clicking here. Click here for original article.

How Are Those Co-Ed Showers Going to Work for Your Children?

Locker RoomThumbing back through some articles I have saved over the past few weeks brought me to one published on May 10, at WND.com, by author Drew Zahn.

As I have written on past occasions, California isn’t known as the “left-coast” or the “land of fruits and nuts” from the fact that it is on the left when looking at a map of the U.S., or from the fact that it is a producer of both of those food items.  It is more because they come up with some of the most bizarre and radical ways for government to destroy the family destroy common sense and destroy the American way of life.

The fact that it is the nation’s capital of the homosexual and other deviant “sexuals” of whatever kind that one could try not to imagine in one’s mind, California takes center stage – again – with this latest report.

An openly homosexual former teacher and legislator has successfully maneuvered a bill through the California legislature, goading them into passing a law that requires boys to be admitted to girls locker rooms and showers if they “identify” themselves as female rather than male.  Yes, you read that correctly.  If you take a job or just move to California, be prepared for your daughter to be exposed to naked male students, who happen to be gender-confused into believing they are female but retain all the physical attributes of a boy, in the girl’s locker room and showers. Members of Congress Sign Letter Supporting Romeike Family

A recent letter signed by 27 members of Congress and sent to Eric Holder says: “The Romeikes fled to our country, seeking relief from high fines, removal of their children by armed police officers, and threats of prison and termination of their parental rights.  If forced to return to Germany, they will certainly face renewed persecution…As Americans, we have an obligation to stand with those who seek freedom.  The Romeike family should find a welcoming home in the United States.”

It was the Obama administration, led by Eric Holder that said there is no fundamental right to home school for parents. We respectfully disagree and believe that the education of children is one of the most basic parental rights, and religious rights of every American. The alternative, if there is no fundamental right to home school, is that it is the sole responsibility of the government to educate children. This is patently false. We hope more members of Congress will sign this letter and that the Obama administration will rethink their position and affirm the religious rights of every parent to educate their children in a manner consistent with their religious beliefs. Elementary School Sponsors Cross-Dressing Day

A recent article reports: “Last Friday’s cross-dressing day at a Milwaukee elementary school proved contentious. The school-sponsored event was one of the theme days during school spirit week at Tippecanoe School for the Arts and Humanities. While the themes for each of the other days were sufficiently milquetoast, Gender Bender Day — as it was originally named — raised a few parental eyebrows. Members of the school’s student council chose the transvestite theme, reports WITI-TV. The idea was straightforward: boys were encouraged to dress like girls and girls were encouraged to dress like boys.”

Thankfully parents voiced their outrage that an elementary school would encourage such activities. Some even opted to keep their kids home. The fact that the school did not see a problem with this and refused to host the day signals how far our morals have declined. If this school is willing to host a “spirit day” supporting the lifestyle choice of a minute percentage of Americans, would it also host a spirit day for Christians, which make up a vastly larger percentage of the population? Somehow, I doubt it. Incidentally  the report says they could not find one student cross-dressing on this spirit day. That’s interesting since this idea was supposedly hatched by students. Why didn’t those students that had the idea cross-dress in support of their own idea? Click here for original article.

UK Doctor Wants to Be Like China – One Child Policy

A mother in the UK went to her doctor for some medicine, what she got was a lecture about how having multiple children is irresponsible. A recent article shares her account: “He then started talking about how the country is overpopulated and anyone who has more than two children is irresponsible…He started going on about how this country should be like China where people are allowed only one child. I was shocked to be having this conversation. I went in for some antibiotics and came out with a lecture. He started saying that in a few years’ time the Government wouldn’t be giving out benefits as much.”

When the abortion culture permeates a society it is a logical and easy step into the ideology that things like infanticide and euthanasia are acceptable. It also becomes easier to believe that children are a curse and having more than one or two is “irresponsible.” I suppose people with two or three kids already should be discouraged from adopting. And those who came from large families and now desire one of their own should be “retrained.” There was a time when children were considered a blessing. I think we need to get back to that mindset.
