Girl Scout Cookies Turn Into Blood Money

blood moneyIt’s that time of year again. With great anticipation everyone eagerly awaits the arrival of spring! Not just the day it begins on the calendar, since it was about 37 degrees that morning. We all await the days when we don’t need coats and hats, and can relax on the front porch until the sun goes down with a sweet treat.

You have probably seen them on the side of the road, and passed them as you headed into a local retail store. They are the Girl Scouts, and they are out in full force to sell their cookies. I usually smile and keep walking; I don’t buy those cookies anymore. Why? Because I don’t support the Girl Scouts. Why? Because the Girl Scouts partner with Planned Parenthood to push a radical sexual agenda ending with abortion. The initiatives supported by the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood are nothing more than a second sexual revolution aimed at young girls. LIfeNews.com shares some of the details:

“…realize how radical the Bali Youth Declaration really is: it asserts ‘sexual rights’ for youth (including 10 year-olds) on nearly every page and demands, over a dozen times, youth access to ‘abortion’ or ‘reproductive rights’ and services. It marginalizes families—decrying parental consent and ‘age of consent’ restrictions in sexual and reproductive matters—and casts religious objections to LBGT lifestyles as ‘religious intolerance.’”

Do You Really Know What the Girl Scouts are Teaching?

It’s that time of year again. At every shopping center and four way stop there is a Girl Scout troop eagerly trying to sell their cookies. I live in one of those neighborhoods where it is inevitable, they will knock of my door. But I won’t be buying any cookies. The reason, if they ask, is that I don’t support the Girl Scouts. That may sound harsh, but after several years of research into what the Girl Scouts teaches and advocates I cannot, in good conscience, support the organization. The Girl Scouts partners with Planned Parenthood to push a radical abortion agenda. Planned Parenthood also pushes an immoral view of sex and sexuality that encourages girls to experiment at a young age (then conveniently have an abortion if something goes “wrong.”) The homosexual agenda is a major emphasis as well.

Some might argue that local troops are not all teaching these things. But the problem is that every troop is ultimately connected to the organization and helping to advance this agenda. A recent article at the FRC Blog states: “A noted player on the international stage, WAGGGS is an ardent advocate for controversial social policies including abortion and sex rights for children. Girl Scouts USA is its single largest organizational funder. In fact, every American girl who joins a Girl Scout troop at her neighborhood church is made a de facto member of this radical group.” Giving just one penny to this organization really does matter. Why Have Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts? The Importance of Gender Lines

Gender LinesI dare you to do a study on sex-segregated learning environments. What most people don’t know, and most lawmakers don’t want to admit, is that sex-segregated learning environments are far more successful that mixed-sex environments. When you remove the distraction of sexual attraction, learning ability increases. This was common practice until feminists complained that it was unfair and demanded equality. The next thing you know our teen pregnancy rate skyrockets. That’s some great equality right there.

Fast forward nearly a century and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are on two very different paths. The Girl Scouts have caved to cultural pressure and become advocates for abortion, homosexuality, and other morally objectionable views. The Girl Scouts have seen declining membership over the last decade as parents with moral fiber refuse to allow their daughters to be indoctrinated by Planned Parenthood, GLSEN, GLAAD, and every other liberal social group funneling money into the Girl Scouts in exchange for access to young, impressionable girls.

What will the Boy Scouts do? No one will know for sure until the May meeting where a vote will be held to determine whether or not the BSA will reverse a long-standing policy of excluding openly homosexual members and leaders. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess.

But here is where this is all leading. If the BSA is forced through cultural pressure to allow homosexuals, you can bet others will seek to invade the group. Just as the Girl Scouts now allow transgenders into their group, we can rightfully expect the BSA to do the same. And if homosexuals and transgenders are allowed in then surely feminist girls, bi-sexuals, and others will demand to be let in. What’s left? [Read more...]

VIDEO: Truth About Girl Scouts’ Liberal Leanings

by Nathan A. Cherry, 07/26/2012

Girl Scouts logoAhh yes, the Girl Scouts! They are a bastion of moral fortitude lending their voice to impart values and truth to impressionable young girls. Yeah, right. By now you know exactly what we think of this once honorable organization that is now nothing more than a shill for pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and even pro-homosexual groups like GLSEN.

I get called all sorts of names when I write about the Girl Scouts because, admittedly, there is still a few good troops left in America that are not shilling for Planned Parenthood and GLSEN with a morally ambiguous message of sexual experimentation and abortion. But, just as I would not reach to the bottom of the garbage can to get the one untainted thin mint still in the box, I won’t advocate or support Girl Scouts in any way. This includes never buying one box of cookies again.

As Americans Support Life – Abortion Groups Get Scared

by Nathan A. Cherry, 05/28/2012

Planned Parent Girl Scouts LogoIt’s a great time to be a defender of life here in America. After years of seeing abortion numbers rise and more abortion mills open throughout the states, the tide is turning. And it is turning decisively in the direction of life. The tide has turned so much in fact that, as I reported a couple of weeks ago, even groups like NARAL are seeing membership numbers drop and support dwindle.

But rather than a slightly more passive support for life that has existed in recent years, today’s defenders of life are fierce and committed to seeing abortion end permanently. Younger pro-life advocates in particular are passionate and proactive in their desire to see innocent children protected from the cruel torture of abortion.

Proof of this trend toward life can be seen in the latest Gallup poll, which shows those calling themselves pro-life are now in the majority:

“Currently, about 41 percent of the nation supports abortion — down from 47 percent last July and just one percentage point below the previous record low in May 2009…In contrast, 51 of Americans called themselves ‘pro-life.’”

The thing that makes this trend so successful is that pro-lifers are starting to distances themselves from anything related to or supporting abortion. Boycotts for organizations and companies supporting abortion are increasing in popularity and productivity (just ask the Girls Scouts and Pepsi). And while groups like Susan G. Komen bow to the pressure placed on them by abortion groups like Planned Parenthood, even the nation’s largest abortion provider is feeling the pinch of the pro-life trend.

Speaking of the Girl Scouts, they have been under greater scrutiny from pro-life individuals and organizations for their undeniable ties to Planned Parenthood. Greater numbers of parents just don’t want their daughters involved with a group that advocates for sexual experimentation, abortion, homosexuality, and other immoral behaviors.

This Website Positively Links the Girls Scouts and Planned Parenthood

By Tom Stark, 04/11/2012

Planned Parenthood Girl Scouts logoI ran across a highly fact-filled web site this week that adds significantly to my knowledge of just what is going on in the Girl Scouts of America (GSA) organization and how they have been moved from a traditional, faith-based, community centered, morally and spiritually supportive source of conservative guidance for our next generation of women in America to a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-promiscuity partner with Planned Parenthood (PP).

In fact, it is almost like PP and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) have taken over the Board of Directors of the GSA.  Don’t believe me?  All one must do is visit the website, http://www.100questionsforthegirlscouts.org/100/ .  There is a list of no less than 17 members of national or council management who have strong and activi ties to these organizations and a number of others with dubious views on the moral virtue of our children, particularly girls.

No, not every local council of the GSA has been corrupted yet, but it is only a matter of time.  What time provides is the opportunity for more and more positions within their management structure to change hands with the replacements being more left-oriented and open to the progressive agenda of “anything goes” moral standards heralded by popular opinion instead of the rule of law (both civil and natural law).

Here are a few notable examples of “leadership” being provided our children (Question numbers relate to the numbers listed on the referenced web site):

Question 5: Are parents aware that if their Girl Scout council partners with Planned Parenthood their daughters may be exposed to sexually graphic booklets like, “It’s Perfectly Normal,” which was distributed to 700 Girl Scouts in Texas? This booklet condones masturbation and contains explicit cartoons of couples having sex and a boy putting on a condom.

Girl Scouts Feel the Bite of Low Cookie Sales – Thank Planned Parenthood

by Nathan A. Cherry, 03/05/2012

Girl Scout cookiesMartinsburg, WV – All the excitement over the Susan G. Komen defunding-then-refunding Planned Parenthood fiasco has died down. This is, in no small part, thanks to the fact that Komen did in fact reinstate its funding of Planned Parenthood and pro-life Senior VP Karen Handle is no longer with the organization. I think this is also due to the collective disgust felt by millions of pro-life advocates that prematurely gave Komen a slap on the back and promise of support.

Is it possible the whole thing was nothing more than an ingenious PR campaign on the part of both organizations designed to boost donations? Because the fiasco accomplished that goal. No, no, no wild conspiracy theories here.

What is not dying down is the anger over the partnership between Planned Parenthood and the Girl Scouts. This is a scenario straight from Cecile Richards’ nightmares as both organizations are being blasted from all sides for a partnership they say doesn’t exist; while more and more evidence of the partnership surfaces.

Cathy Cleaver Ruse has a very informative article in the Washington Times showing the deep and secure partnership between the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood. At this point, trying to deny the partnership exists is somewhat like trying to deny the earth revolves around the sun; or that the sun exists. No one’s buying it. Ruse says:

“If Girl Scout defenders call this old news, show them the current Planned Parenthood sex-ed program, ‘Real Life. Real Talk,’ where the Girl Scouts of NYPENN are listed as a valuable partner. (A screenshot of the page is saved at FRCBlog.com.)…A cottage industry of Girl Scouts watchdog groups has flourished online with names like Girl Scouts Why Not, 100 Questions For the Girl Scouts, Honest Girl Scouts, Speak NowGirl Scouts…Visit these sites to see Girl Scouts tax returns showing its annual million-dollar-plus contribution to the radical World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, an aggressively pro-abortion organization that openly partners with International Planned Parenthood Federation. (Incidentally, every little girl who signs up for the Girl Scouts is automatically made a member of this umbrella group.) See the biographies of speakers at the Girl Scouts’ 2011 national convention and discover their positions withPlanned Parenthood and their promotion of Planned Parenthood. Read experts from Girl Scouts literature encouraging girls to visit Planned Parenthood programs and websites.”

Another Connection Between Planned Parenthood and the Girl Scouts

by Nathan A. Cherry, 02/28/2012

Planned Parenthood Girls ScoutsMartinsburg, WV – The video below certainly has been making the rounds on the Internet and new outlets. Many people are outraged that Indiana State Rep. Bob Morris would make such claims about the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood. He’s been called a lot of names and certainly much hate has been thrown his way for his comments. But is he wrong?

Rep. Morris wrote a letter to fellow colleagues explaining his concerns in which he stated:

“…abundant evidence proves that the agenda of Planned Parenthood includes sexualizing young girls through the Girl Scouts, which is quickly becoming a tactical arm of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood instructional series and pamphlets are part of the core curriculum at GSA training seminars. Denver Auxiliary Bishop James D. Conley of Denver last year warned parents that “membership in the Girl Scouts could carry the danger of making their daughters more receptive to the pro-abortion agenda.”

No sooner had Rep. Morris made these comments did he come under attack for mischaracterizing the Girl Scouts and spreading misinformation about them; most vehemently they deny any association with Planned Parenthood. But it’s hard for the Girl Scouts to deny any partnership with Planned Parenthood when Girl Scout CEO Kathy Cloninger appeared on national television admitting that Girl Scout troops do indeed partner with Planned Parenthood.

What is most intriguing about the video below is the comments by Girl Scouts of Central Indiana Chief Operating Officer Cathy Ritchie. Ritchie says in the video that there is “no relationship” between Girl Scouts of Indiana and Planned Parenthood; that there never has been and never will be a relationship between the two groups.

Girl Scout Harassed for Expressing Opposition to Boys in Troops

by Nathan A. Cherry, 02/03/2012

Martinsburg, WV – It seems I can’t go a day without reading something related to the Girl Scouts in the news. They certainly have not endeared themselves to many people with recent revelations of their solid partnership with Planned Parenthood, distributing pro-abortion literature, teaching a radical view of sexuality to young girls, and allowing a gender confused little boy into the troop.

TaylorNo, The Girls Scouts have not done much to ensure their legacy among the conservative values based Americans that helped build the organization into the paragon of family and morality it was known for. Rather, it seems at every turn the Girl Scouts are simply pandering to the liberal minority rather than listening to the conservative majority that constitutes the bulk of its troops.

But here’s where social issues, policy, and freedoms collide in a very real and unfortunate example of where we are as a society.

When 14 year old Taylor posted a video to You Tube expressing her opposition to the Girl Scouts allowing boys into their troops I’m sure she never thought it would ignite a firestorm of hate towards her. But hate is what came her way. So much so that she had to set her video to private so the video and comments could no longer be seen. Here is a summary of what Taylor said in her video:

“The real question is, why is GSUSA willing to break their own safety rules and go against its own research institute findings to accommodate transgender boys? Unfortunately, I think it is because GSUSA cares more about promoting the desires of a small handful of people than it does for my safety and the safety of my friends and sister Girl Scouts, and they are doing it with money we earned for them from Girl Scout cookies.”

Can Girls Be Trapped in Boys Bodies?

by Nathan A. Cherry, 01/02/2012

Gender identity

Why are so many confused about their gender?

Martinsburg, WV – I ran across an article related to the recent Girl Scouts fiasco taking place in Colorado that I thought had some merit to it. The author, a Ms. Marylou Barry is not shy and speaks quite bluntly regarding her perspective on recent events. The truths behind her words are nonetheless…true!

In case you don’t know what is going on the Girl Scouts have recently decided to allow a young boy into one of their troops because his mother says that he is a girl trapped in a boy’s body. I won’t go into detail of my own thoughts on how this sounds like a cleverly devised scheme for a young boy to hang out with a bunch of girls and do overnight trips together. I won’t mention the obviously dangerous precedent this sets for other boys to invade the Girl Scouts for devious purposes; and the risk girls will face that they never before did. I won’t mention those things at all.

Take a moment to read an excerpt from this article title “NEWS FLASH: BOYS ARE NOT GIRLS!
By Marylou Barry

So far the Montoya charade has resulted in the disbanding of three Girl Scout troops, a national cookie boycott and a 14-year-old with the courage to post her dissent online being forced off her site by hate mail. If you think that’s destructive, wait until hormonal male adolescents with liberal parents figure out they’re entitled to the overnight camping trip option.
