How would abortion rates change if Roe v. Wade was overturned? The perception seems to be that it would create a black market and numbers would surge. Realistically, that’s absurd. What Planned Parenthood knows and is desperately trying to market is access, because they know if there is an abortion clinic on every corner that women will use them. This fact is underscored by a recent study that concludes proximity to an abortion clinic makes a difference of whether or not a woman chooses to have an abortion.
After analyzing the data the researchers soon concluded that “if Roe were overturned and 31 states voted to make made abortion illegal, the national abortion rate would fall by 14.9 percent and the number of live births in the United States would increase by 4.2 percent.”
Perhaps this is why nearly every poll reveals that Americans are overwhelmingly pro-life. Yes, some who would say they are pro-life still want abortion access for cases of rape and incest; but the myth that most Americans want abortion on demand is crumbling around Planned Parenthood.
It’s a powerful blow against the abortion industry when a doctor that formerly did abortions is now a pro-life advocate willing to speak against this torturous procedure.
