Planned Parenthood Opposes Health and Safety Regulations. Why?

condoms and sex edParents in Europe can breathe a little easier after a draft report seeking to establish abortion as a fundamental human right was rejected by the European Union.

A report on the incident states, “The resolution on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights was presented by Portuguese MEP Edite Estrela but her report is said to be the work of the International Planned Parenthood Federation in Brussels.”

The reason this is important is twofold. First, it seems our lawmakers of late envy Europe and want to refashion the United States in the image of Europe. They repeatedly cite cases, laws, and even culture as a reason for change here in the U.S. I suppose the government overreach, failing economy, and complete lack of moral compass doesn’t mean much to Washington; but it sure does to Americans. We left Europe for a reason.

The second reason this is important is that within this bill was mandates on child sex-education for public schools. I talked about these “standards” here. But rest assured, when you start with teaching 4 year-olds about masturbation, the word standard has little to no meaning.

The fact that this bill was rejected is a win for morality and parental rights. The fact that it very likely will not be brought up again for the next year or so is a win for the unborn. The fact that Planned Parenthood was behind the push to declare abortion as a fundamental human right while seeking explicit sex indoctrination for children is no surprise at all. [Read more...]

Kids and Porn = Child Sex Offenders

kids surprised computerThe burden to protect my children seems to grow every day. But I’m not talking about merely protecting from strangers, drugs, or other obvious dangers. Instead I’m talking about protecting them from a society that seems bent on destroying them from the inside out through a relativistic morality that has as its end immorality. And what’s frightening is the eerie silence from many parents.

I can rattle off dozens of parents who want to protect their kids from genetically modified foods, vaccinations, and germs. They buy only organic food and natural cleaning and washing products to ensure everything that goes in and around their child is all-natural and safe. They refuse vaccinations in order to avoid long-term side-effects. They sterilize every inch their kids might traverse in order to make sure not one germ touches them.

And I’m not saying any of these practices are a bad idea (Though I believe a few germs are necessary to build a healthy immune system – but that’s a different article for another time). What I am saying is that with all of these precautions many parents are taking to ensure their kids have ever advantage, they seem either oblivious or in denial about the social engineering taking place designed to destroy the moral character of their children.

Several recent articles contain disturbing statistics of how children are being morally corrupted thanks to pornography. In case you haven’t read any of my recent articles or haven’t yet learned how pornography is being used to accomplish a liberal social agenda, let me recap for you.

Is Our Society “Grooming” Kids for Sex?

shame childParents in many states no longer have the right to opt their kids out of public sex-education classes. This might not seem like a big deal to some, but when one begins to see the bigger picture that is leading towards legalizing prostitution and pedophilia, red flags start waving furiously.

A recent article by Matt Barber chronicles the research of Dr. Judith Reisman. A list of Dr. Reisman’s qualifications would take up too much space, but suffice it to say that she is one of the world’s most renown experts on the law and sex; particularly as it applies to the deviant work of Alfred Kinsey. (If you don’t know who Alfred Kinsey is, Google him. But be warned, what you will learn is deeply troubling.)

A recent article explains what Dr. Reisman has uncovered:

“…nearly all of today’s liberal ‘comprehensive sex education’ curricula – such as that pushed by groups like the National Education Association (NEA), Planned Parenthood and the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network(GLSEN) – is derived entirely from the criminally fraudulent research of Alfred Kinsey. But even more troubling is a recent discovery by Dr. Reisman. She found that the Obama administration, which fully embraces the debunked Kinsey sex-education model, has begun pushing a curriculum that, in many ways, eerily mirrors the ‘FBI Molester Grooming Paradigm.’ In short, she found that both Obama’s HHS and many public sex-education programs are doing to children, constructively, what pedophiles do to ‘groom’ them for sex.” (Emphasis mine)

The ACLU: Opposing Biblical Values For Years

ACLU logoby Nathan A. Cherry, 09/18/2012

I’m not particularly fond of the ACLU as, I am fairly certain many people aren’t. They have historically done far more harm than good in preserving freedoms of any kind. And the little bit of good that have done has been far outweighed by the incredible amount of harm. The local chapter here in my home state of West Virginia is certainly on the opposite side of major issues than I am.

Maybe you aren’t real familiar with the ACLU, maybe you don’t know what they do. Let me see if I can give you a snapshot of their organization by highlighting a few articles that feature their handy-work.

In this recent article on the ACLU website, they discuss a recent lawsuit they are filing against a school system in California over sex education policies and practices. They, at the request of several parents, are suing the school district because it is using an abstinence only sex education curriculum. The articles states:

Why Does WV Discriminate Against Sex Education?

By Tom Stark, 05/09/2012

Back on February 1, 2012, the day I began my tenure as a blogger for the Family Policy Council of WV my article on teen pregnancy questioned whether or not the increase in teen pregnancy could accurately be blamed on “more sex and less protection” or on a reduction in the number of abortions being performed on teens in West Virginia.  Several weeks later, on April 11, Whitney Burdette of the State Journal, wrote an article concerning the WV State Board of Education’s policy against abstinence only sex education.

A striking claim made by those speaking with the author was that there was effectively no difference in the rates between those exposed to “comprehensive” versus “abstinence-only” sex education curricula.   Quoting the April 11, article:

“Kristan Hawkins, executive director of Students for Life of America, the nation’s largest youth-based pro-life organization, said the rate of sexually transmitted diseases [STD’s] among teens is the same no matter the type of sex education those teens are learning. “

While this statement refers to STD’s, not teen pregnancies, it takes little thought to acknowledge that teen pregnancy can equally be impacted by the same behaviors.  So, we have apparently reliable data showing no difference in the results achieved, but the far safer of the two is forbidden by our State Board of Education.  This makes total sense…in an upside-down world.

That article demonstrates just how out-of-kilter our state’s policies have become and just where we are headed, but the thing that struck me the most was that there were strong suggestions in the latter portions of the article that what is missing in our policies and standards as well as our laws is parental involvement and parental responsibility.  With that I can whole-heartedly agree!  Where is the priority given to parental guidance?  Where does the policy encourage parental participation?  Again, the article quotes Kristan Hawkins:

“Hawkins said that although her organization doesn’t take a stance on sex education, she personally believes that contraception-based education does not solve all problems. ‘Everyone agrees that abstinence is the only way to remain STD free, the only way to reduce out of wedlock births, but no one wants to talk about it or give it a try,’ she said.”

Another Connection Between Planned Parenthood and the Girl Scouts

by Nathan A. Cherry, 02/28/2012

Planned Parenthood Girls ScoutsMartinsburg, WV – The video below certainly has been making the rounds on the Internet and new outlets. Many people are outraged that Indiana State Rep. Bob Morris would make such claims about the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood. He’s been called a lot of names and certainly much hate has been thrown his way for his comments. But is he wrong?

Rep. Morris wrote a letter to fellow colleagues explaining his concerns in which he stated:

“…abundant evidence proves that the agenda of Planned Parenthood includes sexualizing young girls through the Girl Scouts, which is quickly becoming a tactical arm of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood instructional series and pamphlets are part of the core curriculum at GSA training seminars. Denver Auxiliary Bishop James D. Conley of Denver last year warned parents that “membership in the Girl Scouts could carry the danger of making their daughters more receptive to the pro-abortion agenda.”

No sooner had Rep. Morris made these comments did he come under attack for mischaracterizing the Girl Scouts and spreading misinformation about them; most vehemently they deny any association with Planned Parenthood. But it’s hard for the Girl Scouts to deny any partnership with Planned Parenthood when Girl Scout CEO Kathy Cloninger appeared on national television admitting that Girl Scout troops do indeed partner with Planned Parenthood.

What is most intriguing about the video below is the comments by Girl Scouts of Central Indiana Chief Operating Officer Cathy Ritchie. Ritchie says in the video that there is “no relationship” between Girl Scouts of Indiana and Planned Parenthood; that there never has been and never will be a relationship between the two groups.

Graphic Video: Planned Parenthood Video Exposes Sex Indoctrination of Kids

by Nathan A. Cherry, 02/21/2012

ALL LogoMartinsburg, WV – Just when you think you’ve seen and heard it all, you get a glimpse of a video exposing the depravity of Planned Parenthood. This is not an organization that does “good” things and is just getting a bad rap from people like me. This is a deeply corrupt organization that seeks to spread a message of casual sex, abortion on demand and homosexuality to our kids. As a parent I cannot tell you how disturbed I am by this organization and the perverse ideology they spread.

The video, “Hooking Kids on Sex” is no exception as it exposes the agenda of Planned Parenthood. The American Life League (ALL), which produced the video, wants to warn parents of the dangers their kids will be exposed to through associating with Planned Parenthood. All says;

“Any parent that sees the video of Planned Parenthood’s material for school children will be horrified. Planned Parenthood’s business model is aimed at making money from people who are engaged in sexual activity. The earlier Planned Parenthood can get girls having sex, the more money they make. Many of these children will become the women who will have abortions, which made up 51% of Planned Parenthood’s clinic revenue in 2010.”

ALL encourages parents to speak openly and honestly about sex with their kids because, if they don’t, someone will. And most likely that someone will be Planned Parenthood or a PP affiliate, a fact that could be disastrous to anyone with even a strand of moral fiber. All commented;

“Planned Parenthood wants kids to choose them for their sexual education over their own parents. They want to be the trusted friend and advocate for kids of all ages. They know that a conversation about sex with a stranger or browsing a Planned Parenthood website about teen sex is easier than talking with their parents. The abortion giant has no problem using tax dollars to exploit that fear and make money off those kids.”

Watch the video below. But be warned that it contains graphic images not suitable for young viewers. (If the video doesn’t appear please refresh your browser)

Planned Parenthood has Gone Fishing In Your Pond

By Tom Stark, 2/18/12

Gone fishing signParkersburg, WV - Planned Parenthood (PP) has gone fishing, but it’s not where they should be doing such things.  They are fishing for future customers and the pond they are fishing in is the one that holds our children for much of each week day.  Yes, our public schools are helping with their search and the bait they are using is pure, raw, unfettered, and sometimes unnatural sex.  Yes, they are using sex as bait to indoctrinate our children into the world of unrestricted sexual behavior.

If you really want to know just how devious and committed PP is in distributing such information without any moral foundation, just visit their propaganda site here.

In order to explain what is happening, though, some specific terms may be used that might make some of you uncomfortable, but as parents, you need to know just what Planned Parenthood is being paid to do with your tax dollars. Nothing is left to the child’s imagination here.  Their literature lays out everything from masturbation through sexual intercourse to same-sex activities and sodomy, complete with pictures, cartoon characters made to look like sex organs.

This video and article shows you some of the actual printed material that is used in this process of setting children up for potential problems with pregnancies and STD’s before they reach their junior prom or even earlier.  They are starting them off young and claiming the whole time that this is good, solid, scientific information that every child should know and understand before they face these problems without the benefit of knowing what they are doing or how to do it.

Again here, the video is quite graphic but it an absolute necessity to understand if you have children or grandchildren attending public schools in the United States.  There is no such thing as a “safe school” anymore.  There will never be such a thing again unless funding of this program through PP is ended and prohibited in the future.  What drives me a little batty is that while distributing this kind of information they claim to be supporting abstinence as well. From their website:

Does West Virginia Have a Teen Pregnancy Problem?

By Tom Stark, 01/01/2012

Parkersburg, WV - After declining for several years, West Virginia’s teen birth rate has again started to grow.  So says a study by West Virginia Free (Incidence of Teen Pregnancy and Childbearing in West Virginia) which identified the up tick in 2006 statistics as showing that “teens were using less protection and having more sex.”  At least that is how Whitney Burdette characterized it in a January 25 article for The State Journal.

Ms. Burdette goes on to describe claims of inconsistency in the curriculum used in different counties in WV to comply with state-mandated “comprehensive sex education,” and the potential financial impact on state funds if the problem is not addressed more effectively looking forward. Further laments regarding the state’s efforts to come up with ways to improve the statistics that showed WV as the “only state in the country to show an increase in teen pregnancies in 2009,” were painted as extremely complex problems.

Don’t get me wrong.  I don’t believe for a second that teen pregnancy is anything to be taken lightly or dismissed as something not worthy of concern.  To the contrary, it is one serious problem that plagues our country and our culture, but I do not believe that the state or the schools hold the answers, not is abortion an option worth considering.

Before You Buy Those Cookies – Think About What Your Money Supports

by Nathan A. Cherry, 12/12/2011

Planned Parenthood and Girl Scouts logoMartinsburg, WV – For many people it’s the most wonderful time of the year. No, not Christmas (though I personally love this time of the year) I’m referring to the annual Girl Scouts Cookie Sale. The time when all those yummy cookies are peddled (sometimes literally) door to door in hopes of making money for trips, causes, and other reasons. But before you buy that next box of Thin Mints or whatever your favorite is, consider exactly what you will be supporting.

Most people don’t know that the Girl Scouts of America (GSUSA) have established a strong partnership with Planned Parenthood; the nation’s leading abortion merchant. This partnership contains a radical, feminist agenda including explicit sex education, abortion, and sexual exploration for girls as young as 9 and 10 years old.

For a very detailed description of the partnership between GSUSA and Planned Parenthood take a look at this article.

For now, let me hit some of the highlights of this devious agreement between our nation’s largest abortion business and a once respectable organization.

At a March 2010 UN Conference on women’s rights the Girl Scouts distributed a brochure from Planned Parenthood called “Happy, Healthy and Hot.” You can click here to read this brochure. Without getting into too many specifics let me just say that this brochure is not appropriate for 9 and 10 year old girls. The advice contained in it will certainly violate the moral and/or religious convictions of many parents.
