Does Planned Parenthood Have Anything to do With “Women’s Health”?

The nation’s abortion leader would like everyone to believe that they exist solely for the purpose of promoting and protecting women’s health. They use the phrase so often I’m not entirely sure they even know what it means. But what they really want us all to believe it means: abortion. Anyone with an ounce of common sense know that Planned Parenthood exists primarily to perform as many abortions as possible. They don’t do mammograms, as we learned in 2012, they do so few adoption referrals that it’s embarrassing. But one thing they do a lot of, abortions; more in 2013 than any previous year. And, as a recent article on the Alliance Defending Freedom blog states, abortion is not “women’s health”:

“…the nation’s largest abortion seller has turned ‘women’s health’ into a mantra so ubiquitous that the words are used in nearly all of the organization’s various defenses for performing an abortion every 94 seconds, according to Planned Parenthood’s own newly released annual report. The hope is that pro-life individuals and groups will find themselves sufficiently defeated and crawl home. But no matter how many times Planned Parenthood repeats their ‘Big Lie,’ there’s a problem they can’t sweep under the rug with soothing rhetoric: taking life is not part of promoting health.” Click here for original article.

The Numbers are In. They Don’t Lie But Planned Parenthood Does.

Politifact truth o meterMartinsburg, WV – Planned Parenthood. An organization that is worthy to be loathed entirely. This criminal organization has done nothing to help women, doesn’t offer mammograms, does very little prenatal or adoption referral work, help sex traffickers cover up their crimes, breaks state and federal laws, sucks millions of dollars from tax payers that could be going to legitimate health services organizations; all so they can sell as many abortions as possible in order to make billions of dollars at the expense of our children and women’s health.

Planned Parenthood.  To be honest, I have a hard time not speaking of this organization without disgust and disdain creeping into my voice. But I’ll refrain from sharing my personal opinion, and simply give you the facts. Maybe you will see something worthwhile in the existence of Planned Parenthood; I doubt it, but maybe.

I am sure you are well aware of the media’s fact checking website Politifact. This website fact-checks everything said by politicians and reports on the accuracy or falsity of the statement. (Insert sarcastic remark about how busy they must be here.)

No matter how anyone tries to spin the facts and distort the numbers, the staggering lopsided business of Planned Parenthood is well documented and impossible to deny. This is an abortion business that concentrates on offering, pushing and providing abortions. This is a business that cares far more about its bottom line than anything else; and the facts bear this out.

Consider these statistics:

“Planned Parenthood provided prenatal services to merely 7,021 women and referred only 977 women for adoption services. These numbers were a 25 percent drop in prenatal care clients and a whopping 59 percent decline in adoption referrals from the 2,405 adoption referrals in 2008. The abortion business helped only 9,433 prenatal clients in 2008, down substantially from the 11,000 women it provided prenatal care to in 2007 — showing health care given to pregnant woman has fallen substantially over the years.”

Planned Parenthood and Obama – the Perfect Team

Planned Parenthood Logo Martinsburg, WV – Planned Parenthood is just a sick, twisted organization that seeks to sexualize our children and then exploit their hyper-sexuality by providing plenty of contraception and abortion on demand. That’s the plain, simple truth. Their ultimate goal has nothing at all to do with women’s rights, “reproductive choice” or anything else. Plain and simple their goal is to make millions by exploiting children.

This fact was once again made very clear to me as I read recently of Planned Parenthood’s number one bestselling brochure on sex. A brief description of the brochure reads as follows.

“According to International Planned Parenthood Federation, the brochure called ‘Healthy, Happy and Hot’ has become their most popular publication. Aimed at young people with HIV, the brochure contains sexually explicit language and promotes casual sex with multiple partners, as well as oral, anal, and homosexual sex.”

 Isn’t casual sex with many partners one of the very dangerous ways to contract HIV in the first place? Does it make much sense to continue doing something that is instrumental in contracting a deadly disease? But hey, I’m just a rational, reasonable thinking individual that hasn’t swallowed the cultural rhetoric of care-free sex. Remember, however, that this brochure is being promoted and pushed on “young people,” (read teenagers). Isn’t the fact that teenagers have HIV alarming enough to think about changing the message? Why is Planned Parenthood continuing to push them toward a casual sex attitude?

A LifeSiteNews.com article also reported that this brochure “encourages youth to keep their sexual activity secret from their parents, as well as visits to family planning clinics. ‘You should find out whether there are any centers near to you where you can go without needing the permission of your parents or guardians.’”

US Rep Demands Answers on Abortion

Martinsburg, W.V. – Recently Congressman Chris Smith (R-NJ) addressed the U.S. House of Representatives, asking questions many Americans would enjoy answers to. In particular Smith addressed the issue of abortion and wanted to know how long the “pro-choice cover-up” would continue. Smith, a staunch pro-life supporter, pulled no punches and did not mince words as he demanded accountability from Planned Parenthood, pro-abortion lawmakers, and the Obama administration. Smith called the idea of “safe” abortion “nonsense” and stated that “women deserve better.” Read text of Smith’s address below:

“How can so many seemingly smart, sane, compassionate and accomplished people — especially in politics — support, promote and if President Obama has his way in the pending health care legislation, lavishly fund with public dollars, the violent death of unborn children and the wounding of their moms by abortion.
“How long will we permit the pro-choice cover-up and bogus safety claims to misinform, especially in light of the reams of evidence documenting serious injury to women who abort?
“Women deserve better.  They, at the very least, deserve the truth.
“Young children can readily identify the humanity of the unborn child dismembered through abortion, and instinctively realize the grave injustice of abortion with unclouded comprehension. That same realization recently seized Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director, when she watched ultrasound imaging of an abortion in progress of a three month old unborn child. Self described as ‘extremely pro-choice’ but now pro-life, she said she watched an unborn child ‘crumple’ before her very eyes as the infant was dismembered and vacuumed to death by a hideous suction device 20-30 times more powerful than a household vacuum cleaner.

Members of Congress Meet My Baby!

Martinsburg, W.V. – Did you hear about the guy who dared to take on the big, bad liberal machine in Massachusetts and ran for Senate as a conservative? It almost sounds like a sci-fi tale worth retelling. By now we all know it is the story of Scott Brown, the newly elected senator from Massachusetts that defeated state attorney general Martha Coakley. But what makes this stunning upset so interesting is the main talking point of Brown’s campaign, namely health care.

Considering that Massachusetts has not seen a conservative, republican senator in over thirty years, and that President Obama easily captured the state in the 2008 Presidential election, it’s almost surreal to imagine a conservative voice winning this election. But now Mr. Brown and his truck are headed to Washington.

In practically every headline I’ve read about the election healthcare has emerged as the central focus of Brown’s success. Many voters that supported Obama in 2008 voted for Brown simply because he promised to fight the Obama administrations health care overhaul and break up the democratic super-majority in Congress. And why are so many irritated, frustrated, and fed-up with the attempted overhaul of the nation’s health care system? The main reason, it would seem, hinges on the nation’s surprising shift toward life.

A shift in support toward life coupled with opposition of abortion on demand is slowly taking place in America. Since 1991 when over 2,200 abortion clinics were operating the surge towards life has produced such a dramatic drop in the abortion rate that only 712 remain open today. Even many of the well-funded Planned Parenthood abortion clinics are finding it hard to stay open and closing at a rate of more than two per month in 2009. Let’s not forget recent polls that show approximately 61% of Americans oppose federally funded abortion in health care; a bi-partisan group no less. Last but not least, the same poll found that a super-super-majority of Americans, 73%, oppose abortion in nearly every circumstance.

New Report Says Tighter Abortion Laws Saves Women’s Lives

Martinsburg, W.V. – Pro-abortion advocates are adamant in their contention that further access to abortion services and looser restrictions on those services is a benefit to women and their health. But a recent study by the World Economic Forum (WEF) says otherwise.

According to Lifesitenews.com, the new report says “that countries with restrictive abortion laws are often the leaders in reducing maternal mortality, and those with permissive laws often lag.” In other words, the countries with looser abortion laws are seeing higher maternal death rates than countries with more restrictive abortion laws. Call me conservative, but protecting the lives of women and reducing maternal mortality rates seems like a good idea.

These findings stand in direct opposition to pro-abortion advocates that assert more restrictive abortion laws are threatening women’s health.

Earlier this year the Guttmacher Institute published a report on global abortion and asked states to “expand access to legal abortion and ensure that safe, legal abortion services are available to women in need.” Following this publication, Sharon Camp, president of the institute toed the abortion lobby line by saying “in much of the developing world, abortion remains highly restricted, and unsafe abortion is common and continues to damage women’s health and threaten their survival.”

And yet the new report states that it is countries with tighter abortion laws, places where fewer abortions are taking place that are leading in protecting women’s health. The report did not say that the difference was based on whether abortion was legal or not. Or those countries where abortion was illegal were seeing higher rates of maternal death. It is countries where abortions-on-demand are legal that is seeing more women die.
