Engaging Weekend is a collection of article from the weekend you might have missed. But we thought they were important and wanted to make sure you had a chance to read them.

9 Things You Should Know About the Gosnell Infanticide and Murder Trial

The media has largely ignored the murder trial of Kermit Gosnell. He is accused of killing at least one woman attempting to perform an abortion, and also killing 7 infants born alive during botched abortions. He spent 30 years performing illegal abortions, making millions, while not having a medical degree or certification. In this recent article by The Gospel Coalition, Joe Carter shares 9 things you won’t hear in the mainstream media because they are attempting to cover up his trial and keep it from the public in order to push their radical abortion agenda. Groups like Planned Parenthood haven’t even condemned Gosnell and his work though it is illegal. This shows the depths of depravity the abortion industry is willing to accept to make a few bucks killing children. At the end of the article is the 3801 Lancaster Film Project video that you can watch. But be warned, it is graphic. Click here for original article.

In Their Own Words: Abortion Clinic Workers and Post-Abortion Women

Pregnant womenAs more women come forward to share their abortion stories and give details of the horrific experiences they had, more people emerge resolute about ending abortion. Though Planned Parenthood continues to receive more money than ever from the Obama administration, they continue to close the doors of abortion mills nation-wide. Americans are becoming more pro-life every day as they learn just how torturous and cruel abortion really is.

One recent article from LifeNews.com shares a number of statements from former abortion clinic workers, women who’ve had abortions, and others. Each of the statements sheds greater light on the horrors of legalized murder. One fact highlighted is that many current abortion clinic workers have also had abortions themselves. A particularly honest statement was made:

“When a later abortion was performed, workers had to piece the baby back together, and every major part–head, torso, two legs, and two arms –had to be accounted for. One of our little jokes at the clinic was, ‘If you ever want to humble a doctor, hide a leg so he thinks he has to go back in.’ Please understand, these were not abnormal, uncaring women working with me at the clinic. We were just involved in a bloody, dehumanizing business, all of us for our own reasons. Whether we were justifying our past advocacy (as I was), justifying a previous abortion (as many were) or whatever, we were just trying to cope–and if we couldn’t laugh at what was going on, I think our minds would have snapped. It’s not an easy thing trying to confuse a conscience that will not stay dead.”

Often the people most forgotten in the issue of abortion is the abortion center workers. We have a tendency to assume that all abortion clinic workers want to be there, support abortion, and are somehow evil people. But Abby Johnson is telling everyone just how wrong that mentality really is, and what we can do about it. The new ministry Abby is leading, And Then There Were None, is aimed at helping abortion clinic workers that want to leave the abortion industry but are scared, hurting, and in need of help. The new ministry is already helping abortion clinic workers walk away from the clinics and start a new path toward defending life. Read the original article here.
