Legalizing Pedophilia is Just Ahead

Martinsburg, WV – I’ve been writing recently about the mainstreaming and de-stigmatizing of pedophilia that has already begun and will continue here in America unless we get serious about protecting children and stopping the sexualization of our society. This isn’t a pleasant topic to discuss, but it’s a reality that must be discussed.

I mentioned a meeting that took place among some prominent psychiatrists and other “mental health professionals” (I use that term loosely) calling themselves B4U-Act. This group met to discuss how to focus on the needs of pedophiles, to affirm them, and to de-stigmatize adult-child sex. If the very basis for this meeting doesn’t have to concerned you may want to check your pulse.

Matt Barber, Associate Dean of the Liberty University School of Law, attended the meeting and found it appalling. He said it was nothing more than “the North American Man-Boy Love Association all dolled up and dressed in the credible language of the elitist Ph.Ds.”

If you’ve never heard of NAMBLA you can research this deviant group on the Internet. This group openly advocates for sex between adults and children and the removal of all consent laws. (Incidentally, Planned Parenthood advocates for the removal of abortion consent laws).

So deviant are advocates for pedophilia that some, such as Jacob Breslow believe “pedophiles shouldn’t need to get consent from a child to have sex any more than they would get consent from a shoe to wear it,” as quoted by Barber.

Such a position is more than unspeakable; it is atrocious to think anyone could believe it is appropriate to force a child to have sex. Yet many within this movement believe this very position and therefore advocate for the repeal of all consent laws so they may act out their grotesque belief.

If all this isn’t disturbing enough the main themes of the meeting make clear the intentions of this group:

Pedophiles are unfairly “demonized” in society.
The concept of “wrong” should not be applied to “minor-attracted persons.”
“Children are not inherently unable to consent” to sex with an adult.
“An adult’s desire to have sex with children is ‘normative.’”
And the Diagnostic Manual “ignores that pedophiles ‘have feelings of love and romance for children’ the same way adult heterosexuals have for each other.”
The message of this meeting is a frightening account of where we stand as a society. But it should come as no surprise to any of us that we have come this far. It began with affirming the feelings of homosexuals and demanding acceptance of their “alternative lifestyle.” The next logical step was the legalization of same-sex “marriage” and the battle to redefine marriage altogether. Now we have mandatory homosexual indoctrination taking place in public school as well as open homosexuality in our military.

If you aren’t paying attention, what is coming next is the demand by polygamists and polyamorists that their “alternative lifestyle” be legalized and accepted by society. This is a battle that has already begun. The next step is for pedophiles to demand legalization and acceptance of their “alternative lifestyle.”

You see, when you start redefining marriage to accommodate one group you start down a slippery, relative slope that demands redefinition for any group claiming to live an “alternative lifestyle.” And you must accommodate them or you will be a hypocrite and bigot for accepting one group and not another.

In the same way homosexuals reject the argument or morality against homosexuality it will be just as easy for polygamists and pedophiles to reject morality against their “lifestyle.” And, if morality is abandoned in order to accept homosexuality it must then be abandoned I the fight against other lifestyle choices.

But if morality is not the basis for rejecting any particular lifestyle choice, what is? If it’s opinion or preference then no lifestyle choice can be deemed inappropriate – including pedophilia.

The slippery path we’ve started on in redefining marriage and family has dangerous and deadly consequence waiting ahead.
